Masai huge gamble gave Raptors the championship they covet.

They did all they could to prove to Kawhi that Toronto was the place to be - moral of the story, you can do everything right, have the good situation but the players will do whats best for them.

Masai also has the Raptors in good position to rebuild next offseason when Kyle Lowry / Marc Gasol / Ibaka salary come off the books.

This season & next off-season just got much more interesting.

Johnson has potential still. The comparison to Winslow is not terrible. Johnson may be a better defender, Winslow is far superior offensively

Toronto is pretty good at player development, this could end up being a great signing... but alas, he's a bust until he proves otherwise.

It’ll be as if Kawhi never left now with Johnson on board.

In all seriousness though the Raptors made a great move in acquiring Kawhi. It was always in the cards that he could leave, but they would have a clear path financially if that happened in losing DeRozan.

A first ever championship for the franchise, the support of an entire country, financial flexibility- Toronto is in a good place.

Yeah well Kawhi was a scumbag as he had no intention of signing with Toronto and tool forever making a decision while he maneuvered in the background and let all the meaningful players sign elsewhere.. Kawhi is scum..

Rebuild with what maybe they can sign Derozan back and probably end sign Lowry again not much else they will be able to do.. Kawhi also stopped them from being able to make any meaningful moves this off season and had no intention to resign.. Same as Lakers pretty much scum hope he is booed at Spurs Toronto Staple Centre all season would love that too be the case any game I go to I see Kawhi I will be booing him every time he touches the ball..
