CJ McCollum Withdraws From Team USA Training Camp

CJ McCollum has withdrawn from Team USA training camp and the FIBA World Cup to focus on the upcoming season, league sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

McCollum's decision comes on the heels of Eric Gordon and James Harden also withdrawing from the competition.

McCollum averaged 21.0 points in 70 games with the Blazers last season.

McCollum prolly smelling the blood in the air. Portland chemistry should be a difference maker in the newly constructed western conference. I’ve been saying for years they are a huge sleeper every year. They also have made a few changes. However I don’t see their scheming changing all too much this year; will be interesting to see what Whiteside can bring to the table in the early absence of Nurkic.
