LeBron James' Camp 'Shocked' By David Griffin's Comments

Sources close to LeBron James were "shocked" at the way he was characterized by David Griffin in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

Griffin and a person close to James spoke after the SI story was published, sources told ESPN. Griffin said some context was missing. James' camp encouraged Griffin to clear things up on the record.

Griffin told Sports Illustrated that he believes James winning a title in Ohio also has affected his mindset on the court and wondered whether James is more preoccupied with other priorities.

"There wasn't a lot else for him," Griffin said. "I don't think he's the same animal anymore about winning."

Griffin is right and that was very clear this season. I said this in the pre season last year when he came to summer league In those weird Laker shorts. You could just tell the hunger was missing before the season even stared. Lebrons play last season proved it.

Funny the Lakers are essentially a worse version of the 16-17 Pelicans but with a 35 yr old Lebron instead of Jrue Holiday and Kuzma over Mirotic (who was great for them) yet someone they are title contenders? He went to LA cause it's a better place to live and recruit other players.. There is no truth to it as the very next year after the championship he went to the finals and in the last year he played all 82 games and had a historical playoff run.. Also you go to the Lakers to win if he went to the clippers different story also in year 1 at the Lakers there was a push to get AD as it was evident the roster as was constructed could not win.. He had them in the 4th seed but with all the injuries they fell out of the playoffs.. Well next year when he wins will do the talking...

You sound pretty dumb.. Griffen is full of it evidenced by his final season at the cavs playing all 82 games getting the team to the NBA finals on the back of a historical playoff run.. No way was he winning against GSW but in gm1 of the NBA finals he put that team on his back in a game they should of won if not for bad referee decisions down the strech and then some dumb arse mistakes by his team mates.. If he didnt care about winning why bother.. Also you dont go to the lakers if winning is not a priority you go to the clippers.. I will also say Griffen was waiting on more money for Dan Gilbert and if Gilbert coughed up he would of continued in the Job so he is just lying his arse off.. As far as LBJ being perfect far from but let's see what happens next year barring injury to AD or LBJ the Lakers have to win otherwise it's a failure they have a comparable team.. And LeBron has a glaring failure right now the Dallas series where he had the most talent and more than enough to win the championship and did it.. It’s one thing to say something about LeBron and criticize him. But most of the time you criticize the man for something someone else has done and credit that person so how does that even add up. It’s almost like LBJ is the poster child for mockery because he’s an easy target and everyone knows him.
