Spain defeated Argentina 95-75 to win the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Ricky Rubio, awarded the tournament MVP, scored 20 points. Marc Gasol added 14 points on his way to becoming the second player to win a NBA Title and a FIBA Gold Medal in the same year.

what an impressive performance by Scola. He is 39 years old, has been playing in China for the past 2 seasons, and averaged 19 and 8 to lead his team to a silver medal.

Thats what I thought, too. Very impressive! When I compare that to a 36 year old Dirk Nowitzki and to a lesser dregree to a 35 year old Pau Gasol back in the 2015 Eurocup...

What I really find crazy: If he joins the team for the 2020 Olympics, that will be his fifth (!!!) participation at the Olympics while his first in 2004 being one, where he and Argentina captured the gold medal.

Patty Mills was one free throw away from replacing Ricky Rubio for MVP and golden medal.

Ricky Rubio winning MVP of the World Cup is why nobody cares about the World Cup.
