Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks has not ruled out the possibility that Kevin Durant could make his return this season, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Lewis adds that there is a growing sentiment around the league that Durant will play this season after tearing his Achilles in last year's playoffs. 

“I know KD is taking the rehab process ultra-serious. He wants to come back as soon as it’s appropriate, and healthy and the right decision for him," Spencer Dinwiddie told Lewis in an interview.

New Nets owner Joe Tsai recently added that Durant should film his comeback for potential monetization opportunities.

Yeah exactly Why even make this comment.. There should be zero pressure on any sort of come back he needs to be as healthy as possible playing this season seems dumb.. Even if he came back Nets are not making it out of the East..

Limited minutes like PG13 when he came back from injury to get his feet wet. Not a bad idea since we expect em to be in the Finals 2021

Pg was a young dude then. Kd about to be 31. He needs to make his decision based off his health. I dont blame him for coming back in the playoffs. Just trying to do to much. He knew his Achilles was bad. Why try to make hard drives. He could've just kept spotting up like he was doing. The first time he tried to do a legit push off drive he went down. I sorta knew ir was coming because in tore mines off a huge start up and dash type of run

Feels like the organization is seeing less than anticipated sales.

With the exception of Dominique Wilkins ( age 32 ) - no player has ever returned back to form after an Achilles injury.

Granted Durant relies more on jumpshooting then leaping ability - due to his age, the amount of athletic mileage on his legs, his previous injury history ( majority of which have been ankle / calf ) : fans should accept the reality that KD's best years are behind him. He has nothing left to prove as a player - he's won championships, mvps, all NBA, Olympic medals. What more can he do? Winning a championship in Brooklyn will be a phenomenal achievement, but it will not dramatically enhance his legacy as a player.

The Nets goal should be to completely shutdown KD for the 1 year and slowly work him back in the 2020/2021 season (i.e. no back to backs, and slowly / gradually increase minutes ).

Wishing KD a healthy recovery.

And then injure his other leg. Classic overcompensation injury. He needs to take his time.

No way he is not coming back this season and if he even he does he will not be the same player for awhile. This for all the people who want to see him in the nets jersey sooner then later. The thing that made it this serious in the first place was the fact he rushed back to play in the finals. Don't repeat the same mistake and make it worse.

Maybe he'll play sometime in the last 5 games. I don't think you can let him play during the playoffs.

But he didn't blame the Warriors, and I don't think he filmed his calf strain comeback so lost his monetization. That comment was so weird . DMC filmed it to let his fans know how he's doing and how hard he's working out to get back on the court. That's about it.

California can potentially break off and float away too.
