The Portland Trail Blazers have exercised 2020-21 team options on the rookie contracts of forward/center Zach Collins and guard Anfernee Simons.

The Trail Blazers acquired Collins, the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, in a draft-day trade with Sacramento. In two seasons with Portland, Collins (7-0, 250) has averaged 5.6 points (44.1% FG, 32.1% 3-PT, 72.0% FT), 3.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 16.8 minutes in 143 games (one start). He averaged 6.8 points (50.6% FG, 33.3% 3-PT, 80.0% FT), 3.6 rebounds, 1.38 blocks and 17.2 minutes in 16 games during the 2019 Playoffs.

Portland selected Simons with the 24th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He appeared in 20 games (one start) as a rookie during the 2018-19 season, posting averages of 3.8 points (44.4% FG, 34.5% 3-PT, 56.3% FT), 0.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 7.1 minutes. In the final game of the regular season, Simons (6-4, 190) recorded 37 points (13-21 FG, 7-11 3-PT, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, nine assists and one steal against Sacramento while playing all 48 minutes. With this performance, Simons joined Kevin Durant and LeBron James as the only 19-year-olds in NBA history to record at least 37 points and nine assists in a game.
