when he was consistently hitting the 3, he was great. between his defensive versatility, and then hitting the 3, you can't ask for more, on top of his leadership qualities.

And his drives to the basket were so bad I always worried his arms or legs would fall off. So shooting 3's seemed a lot safer from a health point of view. But I think he's a great guy and he had his moments on defense. He always gave 100%, but that still didn't make him a good offensive player (except for those rare occasions).
