Thunder Start Three Point Guard Lineup In Chris Paul's Debut

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 9, 2019 6:09 pm

The Oklahoma City Thunder started three point guards in the debut of Chris Paul as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dennis Schroder played alongside him.

The Thunder acquired Paul and Gilgeous-Alexander this past offseason as part of their trades of Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

"The spirit was right and the ball was moving," said Paul. "When you practice like that, you always wonder if it's going to translate to the game. For us tonight, it did."

Billy Donovan said he liked the look of the lineup.

"All three of those guys are really important and they're drivers of our offense because they're smart, they have a really good feel of how to play and they're unselfish," Donovan said. "They've got to be the catalyst to moving the basketball. Putting them out there, my feeling was to get them comfortable playing with one another, get them playing with a good pace and tempo and speed, and I thought we came out to start the game playing like that."

I like how now NBA teams are playing with video game rosters.
