Adam Silver had a tense meeting with players on the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers last week in Shanghai, league sources told Rachel Nichols of ESPN.
Several players reportedly voiced their frustration at the perception that they were being thrown in the middle of a dispute between the NBA and China, and that they had to answer questions from local Chinese media before Silver arrived.
Players also asked whether there would be any repercussions for Daryl Morey, believing that they would be disciplined if a player cost the league millions of dollars due to a tweet.
Morey will not face any league discipline over the tweet.
