The Detroit Pistons have waived Joe Johnson.

Johnson was signed by the Pistons after becoming BIG3 MVP this past summer.

The Pistons are deciding to use their roster spots on Christian Wood and Khyri Thomas.

I’m all for humoring these wily vets with interviews and workouts, but the bottom line is that JJ’s time has come and gone.

Taking a roster spot from a younger player on a team that is in Detroit’s position makes no sense. NBA teams have enough coaches, trainers, etc.; they do not need another one wearing a warmup suit and occupying a seat on the end of the bench.

Hope for him that he can be signed with MIL, with Bud and Korver, it would be a good place for him; and they they still need one more 3pts shooter

lol nope.
Blake and Griffin are the only ones close to Proven.

They needed a 2 way player at the Wing to help Snell and Galloway develop. IMO
