Kemba Walker 'Definitely' Considered Knicks In Free Agency

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Oct 27, 2019 3:51 pm

Kemba Walker considered signing with the New York Knicks as a free agent, but he ultimately decided to join the Boston Celtics.

“It was [a consideration]. It was," said Walker. They were definitely one of the teams I was looking at in free agency. But I picked Boston. I just felt it was a better fit for me.”

Walker signed a four-year, $141 million deal with the Celtics.

Walker was asked if the Celtics expressed interest.

“I guess they did. Obviously, the players and teams can’t communicate.”

I don’t think the Knicks are losing sleep over not being able to overpay for Kemba.

It really isn't such an overpay. Knicks are losing sleep over much worse players right now.

The Knicks would be kings at horseshoes and hand grenades.

Why would they be losing sleep if almost all those guys are FAs after this season and Kemba would only make them a borderline playoff team?

Because the coach is ass, the players you refer to take the youth's playing time and there are no good free agents next summer. That's the short answer.
