Anthony Davis 'Warming Up To Playing A Lot At Center'

Anthony Davis has historically said he prefers not to play center, but he expressed a willingness to do so last season with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Los Angeles Lakers' most optimal lineup appears to have Davis play the center position for the spacing it provides.

"I'm told that A.D. is definitely warming up to the idea of playing a lot at center," said Ohm Youngmisuk on ESPN's Hoop Collective Podcast. "I think right now (Frank) Vogel doesn't want to lose any of his veteran players. If he were to start A.D. at center eventually, he doesn't want to lose JaVale McGee or Dwight Howard."

The Lakers 3 best players are AD, Bron and Kuz. Kuz doesn't need to start, but Davis would need to play Center so Kuz can close games. AD, Kuz, Lebron, Green, Bradley is their best lineup.

Would have been nice if he warmed up to the idea early in the summer so the Lakers didn’t waste cap space on filling the Center position with 3 different players.

It also would have been nice if he warmed up to this idea in NO so the team wasn’t wasting resources and money in the likes is Asik and other stiffs

He likes to see his wings attack the paint so he can shoot 3's.

Most bigs like to shoot 3's. no surprise.

McGee (4.0), Howard (1.6), and Cousins (3.5) combine to make a grand total of 9 million dollars.

KCP makes 8 million.

Kuzma is so overjoyed by the end of the season I doubt he is closing games.. I think KCP will more likely be in the line up..

He’s going to be so tired of James by the summer. This all started with his post game comments and it’s 180 degrees opposite of how Davis felt. And the game hasn’t changed in a month.
