Koby Altman has agreed to a long-term contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Altman replaced David Griffin as general manager in 2017.
Dan Gilbert had never previously signed a general manager to a contract extension.

It’s kinda a surprise since Gilbert went cheap and never extended Griffin during what ended up being a very important off season for the Cavs. And Griffin looks like the better GM. Maybe Altman ends up being very good himself but I think the jury is still out right now.
