David Fizdale Not In Danger Of Being Fired By Knicks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Nov 5, 2019 3:15 pm

The job of David Fizdale as head coach of the New York Knicks is not currently in danger, sources tell Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Knicks have started the season 1-6 and there was a faint "Fire Fizdale" chant at Madison Square Garden during Sunday's loss to the Sacramento Kings.

As one NBA scout said at the season’s start, “They’re more a puzzle now than pieces to a puzzle.’’

Steve Mills and Scott Perry hired Fizdale in 2018 after passing on Mike Budenholzer, Mark Jackson and David Blatt.

I think Fizdale is a decent coach with a terrible roster.. Firing him would solve nothing.. Luke Walton is an abmisamal coach with a decent roster..

He's currently starting Bobby Portis over Mitch in an effort to inflate Randles numbers to make Mills and Perry look competent. Fizdale is just the symptom of a completely incompetent front office, somebody needs to take a god damn flame thrower to the whole organization.

Fizdale a good coach. Knicks roster sucks.

Did Knick fans really think this roster was better than a 30-win team? You can’t blame Fizdale for unreasonable fandom. The team is essentially a team of role players with One high-end talent — Barrett.

The Knicks won’t fire him because no one else would willing coach for them.

This summer was one laughable move after another, resulting in player rotations that wouldn’t even work on a video game console.

I doubt any of those coaches under consideration before could do much better with this squad of players.

Should have chanted fire the GM or owner instead

Steve Mills jumped on as the guy in charge in 2003, temporarily left the Knicks before the 2009 season and came back shortly after 2013. Guess when last time the Knicks were real good was and when the Knicks were at least .500 or above? Yep, before 2003 and between 2009-2013. Mills is the idiot that jumped to gun and outbid no one to give Tim Hardaway Jr that crazy contract who he then had to trade Porzingis for to get rid of. Mills is the idiot at the center of all of this authoring and/or approving stupid move after stupid move. Mills one skill is being able to kiss ass (in this case a likely hairy, pimple covered short fat ass belonging to one James Dolan).

I’ve been saying this on here for years. How does this guy still have a job at the top of the organization. Guy should have been dropped in the isaih Thomas days

He's Dolan's boy. He's a yes man. Donnie Walsh NEVER should've been let go.

“Currently”

They should be chanting “Sell the Team” or “we want a new owner” instead. Dolan’s the problem

Agreed. Fix was brought in to lure FAs. Not happening. I don't blame him for the roster because it's straight trash, but him not sorting out the PG situation is ridiculous.

he may not need to be fired just yet.

but it's embarrassing for the franchise to not consider it.

he is doing nothing to further along the franchise, long or short term. starting morris, portis, and randle is embarrassing and shows an enormous amount of ineptitude.

if he's unable to see how incompetent his decisions have been, he's not worthy of any HCing job

The sad part in all of this was that Donnie Walsh tried to warn Dolan that trading all those assets for Melo would bite them in the ass and Dolan just overrode him and wasted his time setting up the foundation when said assets could've been used for CP3. Too bad Melo wanted his money and wasn't willing to wait till FA. Then Dolan giving up the draft swap that got the Nuggets Jamal Murray stung and then they gave up their 2016 first round pick for Bargnani who the Raptors were going to amnesty if he wasn't gone before then.

Sucks for you guys that these idiots are nothing but sycophants who will find another way to make things worse.

In my opinion, they need a floor general, a leader, a vet like CP3 , they have talent but they lack organization. Randle is a great player, he's being double and triple teamed on a nightly basis, Barret is young and talented and a great piece of the future, Morris is a great role player, as for the others, they have alot of youngsters that i wouldn't mind seeing on another team, a team not named the knicks.
