NBA Will Likely Eliminate Reseeding Final Four In 2022 Playoffs

The NBA is beginning to move away from the idea to reseed the four finalists during the 2022 playoffs.
Many teams have pushed back on the proposal that was included alongside an in-season tournament. The concern was due to increased travel and a loss of traditional rivalries.
The teams on coasts have largely been against this reseeding area, according to sources.
The NBA had hoped to create a scenario where the two best teams, regardless of conference, could meet in the NBA Finals.

ahhh, Silver is playing the old cop tactic. He gives us an In-Season tournament and Final Four reseeding, both things we don't want. People get upset and argue against the reseeding, Silver relents, and the people feel like they won. When in truth, Silver only cared about the tourney and used the reseeding as a diversion. Sneaky guy.

You need a majority vote from owners and not one single owner in the East would vote for reseeding without shooting themselves in the foot.
It was dead before it even started.

but it's worked so well in the NFL, MLB, the NHL, and the NCAA!

I don't know what teams think, but this Raptor fan sees Philly, Boston, New York, and Brooklyn as rivals. A loss to any other team does not sting as much as one against these teams.

the title is very misleading... 8 was really confused add first when the nba had introduced a final für reseeding and why they want to abandon it again this soon in 2022, when they just changed it.

NHL reseeds within each conference, not between conferences like what was being proposed for the NBA.

Deadass as a Wiz fan, it’s like Boston is it...
Any other team we don’t seem to care playing,
But losses to the Knicks do sting, cause well, they are the Knicks.
