Kyrie Irving Expected To Make Nets Return On Sunday

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Jan 11, 2020 11:18 pm

Kyrie Irving is likely to return to the Brooklyn Nets lineup against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Irving has been out since mid-November with a shoulder injury and recently returned to 5-on-5 practice.

The Nets went 13-13 in Irving's absence.

YES!

I'm glad our organization played their cards close to the vest. It is maddening for us as fans, but it means less timeline stress for the player, which is the biggest concern.

Kyrie, please play it smart, we're glad you're back! GO NETS!

He got a cortisone shot in the shoulder which temporary alieves the issue.

This is Kyrie's fragile ego attempting to steal the spotlight from Dimwiddie

I suspect that in a few weeks once the shot wears off that he will opt for surgery.

I suspect that in a few weeks once they announce he isn't starting in the All-Star game, he will opt for surgery.

I am always one to say teams and players should try to compete and win as much as possible, however, is this in the best interest for Irving and the Nets as a whole?

I’d say it’s not. KD is out until next season. Have Kyrie get the surgery and recover the rest of this season. Let Dinwiddie continue to play out of his mind and maybe flip him for a PF.

The Nets can still secure a low seed in the East without Irving. As much as I am not a fan of his, I’d hate to see him risk further injury moving forward.
