Chandler Parsons May Have Suffered Career-Ending Injuries In Car Accident

Chandler Parsons may have suffered career-ending injuries during last week's automobile accident. The accident was allegedly caused by a drunk driver.

The law firm Morgan & Morgan, however, said Monday in a statement that Parsons "suffered multiple severe and permanent injuries including a traumatic brain injury, disc herniation and a torn labrum."

Parsons has been plagued by chronic knee injuries since signing a four-year, $94.8 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies in July 2016, appearing in just 100 games in four-plus seasons over that stretch. Parsons has played in just five games this season with the Atlanta Hawks.

It's hard to imagine when you're young, but health is the most valuable thing a person possesses. I don't think there is a billionaire over 70 in this world who wouldn't trade all his wealth and fortune to have the health and youth of a 20 year old again.

I pray for a speedy recovery for Parsons and anyone else who has been injured in the crash, brain injuries are a scary thing.

Wow, didn't even know he was in an accident, terrible situation for anyone. I have no sympathy for drunk driving, sorry, and I understand that not everyone that does so is some evil human or something, but it's about as irresponsible as one can be. Poor guy, that's tough.

I hope he recovers well, I was tired of his constant bravado especially when he got his last contract but nobody should have to end a career this way. When you break it down though he basically made a million a game from his last deal!

He wasn't drunk. He was hit by a drunk driver.

Yes, that's who I'm referring to, I have no sympathy for the person that hit him, they should be punished to the full extent of the law, that's why I'm saying poor Parsons, he gets injured in a way that should just not happen.

No excuse with ride sharing these days. Atlanta used to be a drunk driving festival pre-UBer / Lyft because there are no cabs and awful public transit. There is zero excuse today, if you can afford to go out drinking you can afford an Uber.

Simply unforgivable. Some countries don't just send someone to jail for drunk driving... they take EVERYTHING.

Maybe an eye for an eye is too tough here, but why should a guy get to live after making such a poor judgement?

Trivial fact: Canada won’t let into their country if you have a DUI in America. They don’t want to deal with drunk driver tourists. You have to do a lot of paperwork to get back on their good list.
