Malik Monk Draws Interest From Members Of Knicks Front Office

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jan 23, 2020 6:47 am

Members of the New York Knicks organization see Malik Monk as a possible trade target, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

Begley adds that it is unknown whether the Knicks and Hornets have had any trade discussions surrounding Monk.

The Knicks are interested in acquiring a starter-level player before the trade deadline.

Several teams are still monitoring the availability of Marcus Morris, though the team is interested in bringing him back next season.

Just stop the pain.

Monk is fool's gold. He isn't big enough to be a good SG. You have enough point guards Knicks. You have half the league already. What is wrong with this club?

Eh, I think he's a good buy-low player, probably won't amount to much but worth a try if they can get him for cheap. The real questions here are, why are the Knicks looking for a 'starting-level PG' at the moment, and why would Monk be linked to that?

Horrible idea....would be nice if they would keep their successful reclamation projects, Mudiay for example.

First reaction is that this is just another troll attempt by someone at the expense of the Knicks.

But then I remember who's in charge...

...and I can totally see this happening.

As I can this reaction between Mills and Perry afterwards (you can pick who's who)...

Seriously though...typical Knicks. Inefficient chucker? Check. No defense? Check. Doesn't make his team better? Check. Let's go trade for him.

Because he used to be hyped, is an inefficient ISO player that doesn't play any defense nor make his teammates any better. All the qualities that our illustrious front office looks for. Also Monk was listed as a PG leading up to the draft. That's probably why Mills and Perry are interested. They're looking up Monk's pre-draft highlight vids on Youtube (part of their scouting routine).
