The Minnesota Timberwolves have remained engaged in trade talks centered on Robert Covington.

The Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks have expressed interest in trading for Covington.

The Mavericks and Rockets discussed trades with Minnesota dating back to the offseason. The Mavericks can offer a 2020 second round pick from the Golden State Warriors, which will be one of the first selections in the second round.

Covington has two seasons and $25 million remaining on his contract.

Covington is on a great contract for two more years with a team that’s trying to win. They’re not going to trade him for a 2nd round pick, and if they were almost every team would happily give theirs up.
