The Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies are in discussions with the Oklahoma City Thunder about expanding their Andre Iguodala trade into a three-team deal involving Danilo Gallinari.

The Heat have concurrently pursued a trade for Gallinari in addition to Iguodala.

Memphis is currently slated to receive Justise Winslow as part of the package for Iguodala.

Maybe, but it depends on what else folks are offering OKC. My guess is you're right that it'll take more.

An interesting sidelight: If Miami does lift the protection, it does enable them to trade away future first round picks. As it stands now, because of the 1-14 protection doesn't expire until 2026, the contingent nature of the pick makes it impossible for Miami to trade any future first round picks. With the protection removed, the 2023 pick is not contingent, and then Miami could trade their 2024, 2025, or 2026 picks in a deal. And Riley certainly isn't shy about trading picks.
