USA Basketball Announces 44 Finalists For 2020 Olympic Roster

USA Basketball has announced their 44-man preliminary roster for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The official 12-member 2020 U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team roster will be announced later this year.

If a player has declined an invitation to play in the last world cup and represent his country, he should not be given consideration to play in the Olympics. There are plenty of players, and very good ones, who are hungry for the opportunity to suit up for Team USA.

Lebron, Westbrook, Curry, George, Butler declined the invitation while Lillard, McCollum,. Harden, Beal, Anthony Davis, Kevin Love, Tobias Harris, Eric Gordon and Paul Millsap either did not attend training camps or withdrew their names after the camps.

It’s bull how some NBA stars act like they above the national team,
Deadass I reckon Simmons and Bolden should also be excluded for the competition for them deciding against going to the World Cup...
Maker an exception as he did qualifying for the World Cup and just didn’t do the World Cup.

This is the Olympics, not the FIBA World Championships. That means a lot of attention from American audiences. The players will want to play, they always do.
