Kawhi Leonard Says 'The Time Is Now' For Clippers To Put Run Together

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Feb 23, 2020 6:04 am

Kawhi Leonard said it's time for the Los Angeles Clippers to put together a winning run following their 112-103 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The Clippers are on a three-game losing streak.

"The time is now. Just got to keep getting better. But it doesn't matter what seed you are. Just got to keep fighting. It is about the right team peaking at the right time. I don't think we have even got there yet. It feels like we are getting close, but we just need guys to get healthy," said Leonard.

The Clippers were without Paul George and Patrick Beverley, and used their 28th different starting lineup of the season.

Doc Rivers added that it was difficult for his team to find a rhythm due to the injuries.

"We didn't have rhythm before, so when you're bringing in new guys with other guys who probably don't have great continuity, as well, [there's no rhythm]," said Rivers.

Should've just stayed in Toronto, smh. How many injuries have the Raptors had? How long was the win streak in the midst of all those injuries? Yeah.

Would have been cool to see Toronto own the finals for a while. Could still happen the way they still fight for games.

Stephen Colbert says,

MEANWHILE:

Raptors, without Gasol and Powell, beat the Pacers 127 to 81, with no player scoring more than 21.

Raptors had a good team and so do the clippers.. But he wanted to live in LA. Dont forget Raptors playing in the east they wouldnt be going as well in the west. All the so called experts still have clippers favourite for the title..

No I get it, nothing like playing near home, and LA weather is just awesome.

Yeah the East is weaker at the bottom for sure, but the Raptors are still 12-7 (0.631) against Western conference teams this year, through the injuries, and the Clippers are 21-13 (0.618), so technically the Raptors still have the better record against the West compared to the Clippers.

I imagine if Kawhi was still on the Raptors, they'd be pushing for 70 wins this year like the Bucks are. Clippers are probably 3rd fav to win the title after the Lakers and Bucks.
