Adam Silver On Suspended Season: 'It's Too Soon To Tell What The Economic Impact Will Be'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Mar 22, 2020 5:53 pm

Adam Silver said it was too early to determine the financial hit of delaying the NBA season, but "it's not a pretty picture."

“It’s too soon to tell what the economic impact will be. We’ve been analyzing multiple scenarios on a daily if not hourly basis and we’ll continue to review the financial implications. Obviously, it’s not a pretty picture but everyone, regardless of what industry they work in, is in the same boat," said Silver.

The shutdown will cost the league 259 games by April 15th, which was supposed to be the final day of the regular season.

The league announced that players will receive their full salaries on April 1st, but they could recoup salaries for lost games on April 15th.

Fivethirtyeight.com estimated that league losses could approach $1 billion.

Did KD die? Did any of the Jazz players?

Cheap treatment drug will solve the problem.   Zero deaths when it is being used.

That drug only works on the virus in early stages (Sometimes) it does not work at the later stages.. Your about to see more people dying than in Italy so your being naive at best or homicidal at worst...

The most elderly population in the entirety of Europe (so elderly they are in a major recession due to so many retirees and a cripplingly low birth rate) are guaranteed to have as many deaths as they have. Elderly people are the most vulnerable. That being said - unless we have a vaccine "cheap drug treatment" will work about as good as it reads.

Oh thats interesting where did you go to medical school?

I'm tired of everyone speaking so definitively about such a complex issue that they clearly are not educated enough about.
