The players should be all over this idea. As it stands now, they're at the mercy of the force majeure clause. That means that they don't get paid for missing games. My idea puts everything on freeze but then when the season starts again, they get paid in full. You extend everything a year but that's better than not getting paid at all under the assumption games don't start up again in a year which is what the hypothetical is assuming.

As for the draft, you take an already weak draft that now has a lack of communication and interraction between team personnel and prospects and you push them back a year. You now have a much stronger draft when combined with the 2021 prospects.
