Gersson Rosas Wants Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez To Be With Team 'For A Long, Long Time'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun May 3, 2020 4:37 pm

Gersson Rosas said that he wants Malik Beasley and Juancho Hernangomez to be with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the long-term.

Beasley and Hernangomez, who were traded to the Wolves at the trade deadline, are both free agents this summer.

"We want those guys to be Timberwolves for a long, long time. Hopefully, for the rest of their careers," said Rosas, addressing the state of the team on radio.

Beasley averaged 20.7 points with the Wolves, with Hernangomez averaging 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds.

Rosas also suggested that the Wolves could be aggressive on draft night, describing having as many as 3 picks in the top 33 "the most draft capital" in the league.

As much as I love Robert Covington, that was an absolute heist for the Wolves. Not only did they get Beasley and Hernangomez, they also got a 1st rounder. Covington is 29, 5 and 6 years older than Russ and KAT, and now look at the collection of players they have all 25 and under.

KAT/Reed
Hernangomez/Vanderbilt
Culver/Layman/Evans
Beasley/Okogie
Russell/McLaughlin

AND they have 3 picks in the Top 33 this draft plus James Johnson, who is a solid, swiss army knife vet who will be playing in a contract year.

Really nice, young team that I feel a lot of us have been sleeping on. Adding Toppin, Ball, Wiseman, or Edwards to that core, plus two more picks... that pick they moved to unload Wiggins may not even be a lotto pick...

Beasley and Hernangomez weren't part of the Covington deal.

The Beasley and Dlo backcourt is dynamic. Defensive wise still a worry but they are a danger to blow out a lot of teams every night. While Harris is s better fit for Denver they will regret losing beaslry
