The NBA will keep their options on whether to resume the season open through June.
Adrian Wojnarowski told Sportscenter that any final decision in May is unlikely.
"No decision on resuming the season [is] likely any time in May, or even into June at the very least.
"The league believes they have time. [Adam Silver] left open the possibility that regardless of whether this season is played, that next season could start sometime in December," said Wojnarowski.
The league is preparing for the possibility of having no fans at games through the 2020-21 season, which would result in up to a 40% drop in revenue.
