The Brooklyn Nets have had internal discussions about trying to trade for Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.

Beal signed a two-year, $72 million extension last offseason that made him ineligible for a trade during the 19-20 season.

The Nets have documented interest in trading for a third star.

Brooklyn's best assets are Spencer Dinwiddie ($11.5 million), Caris LeVert ($16.2 million) and Jarrett Allen ($3.9 million).

Beal averaged a career-high 30.5 points this season with 6.1 assists on 46% shooting.

I cant believe Washington would trade Beal for those 3 players. It shows they have no direction as a team. Beal isnt the problem. The wizards draft horrible and cant sign free agent because they are the wizards.

Durant and Kyrie haven't played together yet though. Ooh well enjoy the ride. Go Broooklyn!

Somebody in the Nets org better get fired for this leak.

Even if they wanted to their leverage is long gone and the Wiz would demand a PG-esque package.

Washington will probably want 2 FRP as well

The Nets should try to keep Dimwindie and trade Kyrie

More likely Beal will be traded for warriors once warriors move on from greek freak. Wiggins plus pick should do it.

If I'm the wizards and I've decided to deal Beal, I'm taking the nets three of Allen, Dinwiddie & Levert over Wiggins & a late 1st rounder... A lot of other teams can also beat your suggested offer if Beal is made available.

I said demand, I didn't say that's what they'd get. I just checked out their rosters on the trade machine. To get it to happen it would have to be some dumb trade like this just to balance the salaries. Plus they'd want multiple picks since the Nets would likely have a pretty good record next year. But I guess if they're desperate to have a Irving/Beal/Prince/Durant/Jordan lineup for a couple years they could mortgage the future to try to get that Finals appearance. The way the cap is going it's probably not possible though.

What's wrong with LeVert and Spencer? More deeper weapons to go to. Bad move. Trust the halfway all-star players. I thought Jordan was the 3rd star. They insulting him by needing and big scorer. I mean it's a move that will push them up but do KD and Kyrie have that little faith.

surely any deal begins with dinwiddie, levert and allen, right? how many picks, pick swaps et al after that?
