The NBA sent out a survey to all 30 NBA GMs on Friday night regarding how to restart the season, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The poll included whether the NBA should have a play-in tournament, how many teams should be in the bubble site, and the number of scrimmages and regular season games before the playoffs.

GMs will vote on the following scenarios, including:

  • whether teams can advance directly to the playoffs

  • a "playoffs plus" option that includes a play-in tournament for the final seed(s)

  • playing out a full regular season

  • a traditional playoff format or reseed all of the teams

  • the last possible finish date, including November 1

I suspect Owners, GMs, Players and Fans would all give different answers to these questions.

As a fan, I'd like to do a 6 to 10 game regular season to ensure all teams have played same amount if games, while having teams warmup for playoffs and then go straight to playoffs. 1st round should be a 5 game series.
Start next season on Christmas and play a 60 game season.

If they agree to just leave the records alone and regular season completed for teams already eliminated and already clinched in playoff position. Maybe with a extreme strict access rule and some luck (no false negative test results)
They could possibly complete the regular season in a play in situation with no warm up period.
If players haven't stayed in game shape tough beans.then have a college format single elimination win or go home fast paced finish.
Anything longer than that and the window of 14 days closes . There is literally no chance there are no false negative test results and a guarantee someone will be a carrier.
But if they need a fn champ take the risk.
