by mid-june they will push the date by 15 days, by end of june they will push it to end of August. After 4th of July, they'll announce cancellation of the season.

Yeah, I give this about a 50-50 shot of happening at that date. Depends on whether reopening everything kicks of a second wave of the virus, even if they're in a "bubble environment", that's still going to present a problem as there will need to be hundreds if not thousands of people involved and in close contact. But hey, might as well set a goal and adjust from there if needed. It does seem likely at least 20% of 2020-21 RS games will be lost because I don't see them rolling right into next season after this one ends, meaning it's probably late December or January before they start a new season.

Also curious how this schedule will affect the lottery and draft, I assume the draft can't happen until the previous season is done.

I'm also curious about the draft but it's all dependent on the play structure leading into continuing the season. If they do a 20 team group thing, they will likely have to put off the lottery because 4 teams will not be seated for it. But if they go straight to playoffs, they can immediately do the lottery and seating will be established for the entire league. A play in tournament for the 4 teams in the west would slow that process down.

I question I have is how will teams prepare for the draft? I feel the NBA will try to maximize broadcasting so they and ESPN, ABC (Disney owned) and TNT can maximize profit. So I wonder if they do a Combine at Disneyworld too. It could be done elsewhere with team front office's at that location instead. Private workouts will be a little more difficult.

If the People would just realize the data shows 1 in 3 people worldwide are already infected with no symptoms and that 6 feet social distancing is about as useful as not stepping on cracks on the sidewalk , then maybe we could have cut down the rapid spread of it. as it is now though, way more people likely are asymptomatic carriers and without legit testing ability that may not be proven true or false before the NBA takes a shot at it,does a mass test then they will immediately cancel the season before ever playing a single game
