Jacque Vaugh has a "legitimate opportunity" to be named the permanent head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
“I really do think that the Nets will give Jacque Vaughn a legitimate opportunity to win the job. This is a guy that comes from the Spurs background, has the same pedigree as [Nets general manager] Sean Marks. As far as I know, he does a good job at working with players, building that relationship," said Charania on the Load Management podcast.
The 45-year-old Vaughn is currently the interim coach of the Nets.
Vaughn is 2-0 since taking over from Kenny Atkinson.
