Justin Holiday Unsure If He'll Play In NBA's Return-To-Play

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jun 18, 2020 2:40 pm

Justin Holiday is 50/50 on whether he will play in the NBA's return-to-play plan in Orlando. Holiday is the only member of the Indiana Pacers who is uncertain about the decision.

Holiday participated in a recent conference call led by Kyrie Irving questioning the wisdom of the league returning to action amid social unrest.

Players have until June 24th to decide whether they will opt out of playing in Orlando.

Sucks because he has had a good year...A surprisingly solid role player
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

The brother of the good Holiday. The one who plays for the Pelicans. Actually, the least talented of the 3 Holiday brothers.

We'll he's probably ending is career. When you are a marginal 31 year old fringe guy it's not your place to make waves much less stands. Just stressing the teams probably is enough of a headache to move on and other teams see it too.

The entire reason for you on the team is the fall in line and do your job and if you don't they can go find 50 other guys pretty much of the same caliber without NBA jobs that will and not cause them headaches. Maybe it's not right, but teamates and the front office will remember you were a guy they couldn't count on if they go and you don't and you have no leverage when you are at his level, they are a dime a dozen. It's the vets that play their role that stick around otherwise you go find a young player that actually has upside and is close to him in talent and isn't on the decline.
