Adam Silver went on the record in a conference call on Friday that the NBA will not suspend its season if a player tests positive for COVID-19, no matter the player.

Silver said the league is discussing with health officials and the players what would happen in an instance of "significant spread" but that "that line hasn't been set yet."

The NBA will tests players and staff on a daily basis.

"My ultimate conclusion is we can't outrun the virus, and we are going to be living with this for the foreseeable future," said Silver.

I hope they are the exception to the rule, but odds are terrible that the season even gets under way let alone completes in 2020.

I would be worrying about 2021 and 2022 at this point.

Apparently the spread of coronavirus in FL today isn't significant?!?!? Apparently Adam Silver has a very high threshold of pain.

In other words, nothing’s going to stop us from making our billions now cuz that’s all that matters to us even if it means sacrificing a couple of players. Suck it Fauci, blm and any other clown that tries to get in our way lol

So when is that... when a team only has 4 healthy players?

I'm down for whatever we can watch while I'm not working in the ER. Been working since this whole pandemic got intense and it would be a nice change.

For those whom are lashing out at the NBA and the owners who want to resume some sort of normalcy keep in mind that a significant percentage of the general population bolted to bars, clubs, gyms, group gatherings as soon as the stay at home orders were lifted. Those people and a number of others still believe that this pandemic will go away on its own, then there are others who believe that we will continue to live with this virus for the near future .

How about we meet in between? Accept that this will not go away but take the necessary steps and actions to reduce the spread of this disease. Completely shutting down the world while waiting for a vaccine and or effective treatment isn't reasonable but disregarding everyone else's safety to do whatever you desire isn't reasonable either.

All I know for sure is that I'm glad the NBA is coming back!

Significant, like record high number of new cases the last 3 days??? I just hope they aren't still in Florida. Florida is getting killed right now and has more new cases than most countries.

By the time most people in the nba have it you are close to herd immunity so better off pausing 2 weeks and then playing since there is no risk of infection.
