Knicks Would Reportedly Have To Include Kevin Knox In Potential Chris Paul Trade

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 7, 2020 5:28 am

The New York Knicks would have to trade Kevin Knox in a potential deal for Chris Paul, sources told Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Thunder are said to be looking for a first-round pick and a player still on their rookie contract in exchange for Paul.

The Thunder prefer Knox as the prospect on their rookie deal, according to sources.

The Knicks, who have seven first-round picks over the next four drafts, would rather deal Dennis Smith Jr. or Frank Ntilikina - though the Thunder are not fans of Smith.

The Knicks reportedly prefer trading for Victor Oladipo over Paul

Sounds like Knox’s agent trying to build a market for him.

Dear haters. We know. Tell that to the Thunder who seem to think otherwise.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

Why is Mark Berman pretending that Knox would move the needle in any trade negotiations? Just a really dumb rumor.

You seem to be somehow misunderstanding the story.

This means the Knicks invariably want Knox off their team.

Why are the Knicks even entertaining this?

So.. a non-playoff / lottery caliber team is trading for one of the oldest players in the league with one of the highest salaries in the league? also, as part of this trade, you are giving up a young player in the process and maybe even some picks?

This is why some teams stay mediocre and some teams seem to stay on top. Fine Chris Paul helps you win a handful more games @ $45 million per year, but how does this help long term?

If the Thunder get a bunch of picks for swapping Paul and Westbrook, then get a bunch more for saving salary on Paul, they'll have just accomplished some amazing GM work. Not sure why the Knicks are looking to do this at all, though sure, who cares about Kevin Knox whom sucks, but if they have to throw in other picks? That's nuts unless its like one pick that projects out to be 20+.

what if kevin knox isnt trash, and the knicks just cant develop players ..... If the thunder can have dort getting playoff minutes, i see no reason they cant make knox into a rotation player like they have literally done with everyone else theyve drafted sans diallo and ferg.

It isn't that crazy to prefer Knox. He has two more years on his rookie deal and less evidence that he's not good than the other two who will be restricted free agents in 2021. Their preference could be as simple as having two years of developmental runway versus one for the other guys.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Dear God, if there's one group of people that knows exactly how terrible Knox is, it would be Knicks fans.

Just 2 things to say...

1. Why are people listening to Marc Berman? Berman is about as reliable as Miss Cleo (for those that don't know Berman like Knick fans know Berman).
2. The second Knox is traded to Thunder (or anywhere else) he'll become better than he is (admit it).

Knox is not that good, but if the Knicks don't receive a boatload of assets for taking on that salary, they haven't learned a damn thing.

OkC, at this stage, have made it pretty clear they aren't paying to get rid of him. And that's fair enough, he isnt Kevin love

Love how the knicks value and honor their traditions unlike some other fake teams around the league. Even if that tradition is trading for overpaid and passed their prime guards. CP3 should be honored that he will be joining the ranks of other Knicks greats such as, Stevie Franchise, Stephon Starbury, Chauncey Ba-Billups, T-Mac, etc.

KNOX CURRENTLY SUCKS BUT I DON'T WANT CHRIS PAUL FOR ANYTHING. Fake news bull sauces have nothing better to do.

well, according to alex smith, of SNY, and who has clearly never watched a single knicks game, thinks knox can "shoot the three and defend the wing." also has "the potential to be a star."

has alex been fired yet? if not, then that means anyone can be a writer and make **** up
