Bucks To Pursue Bogdan Bogdanovic

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 15, 2020 3:40 pm

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to be a strong suitor for Bogdan Bogdanovic, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Bucks are prioritizing additional playmaking and shooting around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

Bogdanovic will be a restricted free agent with the Sacramento Kings, which gives them matching rights. The Bucks were in a similar situation last offseason with Malcolm Brogdon and agreed to a sign-and-trade with the Indiana Pacers.

The Kings signed Buddy Hield to a four-year, $94 million extension before the 19-20 season, but Luke Walton seemed to prefer Bogdanovic as the season progressed.

This will increase the need for Sacto to move off Hield’s deal IMO.

As a Sixers fan, what do you think about Horford for Hield?

Fantastic.

DET gets Westbrook
HOU gets Rose and Horford
PHI gets Rivers, Hield, and 12
SAC gets Snell, Richardson, and 21

That's a great package. Almost too good to be true for everyone.

My thoughts exactly, Cassius. Great trade proposal, The_Process.

I'll let fans from their respective teams tell me otherwise, but this appears to give everyone exactly what they need.

For Philly, it sucks to lose Josh Richardson, but getting 12 puts them in a perfect position to hopefully grab Tyrell Terry, assuming his stock doesn't rise any further. Doc could get really creative using Simmons as a C in non-Embiid minutes with shooters like Harris/Shake/Hield/Terry spreading the floor... And that's without counting Thybulle's development in the corner.

For Houston, call me crazy but I think Becky Hammon would be a great poach from the Spurs. She was a great ball pressure PG, which fits the current defensive scheme, she could bring a lot of the Aldridge offensive schemes and use them with Horford during the non-Harden minutes, who'd also keep DRose fed. I remember Hammon running the old Vlade/Bibby play where the guard curls off the big and gets the pass on the way to the basket. Horford and Rose could run that all day. A cosmopolitan city like Houston, even in Texas, would probably work well enough. I'm sure she and Harden could hang out after work as well ;)
