The Philadelphia 76ers have parted ways with Vice President of Basketball Operations Alex Rucker, sources told Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Rucker was reassigned from his role after the team hired Peter Dinwiddie from the Pacers.
Rucker was "heavily involved" in the team's decision-making, according to sources.
Elton Brand recently signed a multiyear extension as general manager, with Daryl Morey set to be introduced as President of Basketball Operations on Monday.

Great news... There are a few more names that need to go, specifically, Scott O'Neil.

Don’t forget Nosferatu’s plant in the Sixer FO Ned Cohen. He needs to go as well.
But yeah, Scott O’Neil is the biggest issue and needs to GTFO quickly.

Agree. That said, from what I've heard Ned is less of a snake than say, Jerry or Brian. Maybe he'll end up back in the League's FO?

Lol. Are they trying to blame Alex Rucker for the recent failures? Rucker is the analytics guy, ffs. He provides input... he’s not the one paying Tobias Harris max money or signing an aging. and redundant Al Horford as a free agent.
Why put out a story, throwing some no name advisor under the bus? This smells of Elton Brand not wanting to take any responsibility for his own bad decisions.

I mean, are you saying no team should ever fire anyone or shift up their front office? I'm guessing you know nothing about how good Alex Rucker was at his job or who they might hire to replace him, seems weird to go off on some tangent about Brand when the article's about some other dude. Brand also just got demoted and Morey put over him, so it's not like there's been a big show of confidence in Brand's ability to run the show.

one of the last vestiges of the Colangelo era. I remember when he worked for the Raptors.
