Warriors, Celtics Discussed Marcus Smart For No. 2

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:41 pm

The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors discussed a trade centered on Marcus Smart for the No. 2 overall pick.

Talks fell through for both parties as the Celtics rejected an unknown counteroffer. The Celtics and Warriors are not expected to pick up talks.

Boston is believed to be targeting James Wiseman in the draft and have been trying to trade into the top-3.

I'm going to be kind of confused if GSW hasn't traded the pick by the end of tonight. Light years, I guess.

I bet the counter was a,off the lines of

Wiggins
#2

For

Smart
Hayward
#14 + other picks.

No way the Warriors were trading #2 for Smart straight up.

Counter offer - Tatum for #2. That is more reasonable than your nonesense, Danny. No? Ok, good bye.
