The Los Angeles Lakers have emerged as a contender to sign Marc Gasol, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Gasol is interested in a possible title run, as well as living in Los Angeles.

Gasol is also drawing interest from the Raptors and Warriors.

I'm from Southern California and LA is cool and all but I'm pretty well traveled and most of these small market cities are cool IMO. I live in Illinois now and can do any I did in so cal outside of the Beach. I'm also not a bish who is afraid of cold weather and don't need to hit the clubs after work.

Gotta wonder, if I was ultra rich, would I choose Illinois or California?

I could care less for the craziness of LA, but if I had the money, and had to stay within North America, the appeal of waking up to a view of the Pacific may be too much for myself and especially the wife to pass up.
