Joel Embiid had one of the most celebrated social media presences earlier in his career, displaying his talent on the floor and then talking trash online afterwards.

 

"I barely use social media these days," he said.

Embiid didn't take to social media to combat the narrative that he needed to be in better shape.

"I don't post my workouts," Embiid said. "I don't need to show off to people, 'Look at me, I'm working out. Look at this picture, this is me working out every single day.'"

Embiid also became a first-time father this year.

"I've never seen someone go from zero to 60 like Jo can," Sixers general manager Elton Brand said. "Once he's focused and locked in, he becomes that guy. And coming into the bubble, he was in amazing shape."

Instead of being all caught up in everyone elses opinions, it should let him focus on his game. Fewer distractions the better. He has so much potential, he should dominate the league, not many have the skills he has at his size.

Life is so much less stressful when not being on social media 24/7. You’ll never know it until you actually do it.

This is absolutely true! It's like quitting smoking or drinking. really...It is.

I really appreciate Embiid’s stance on not feeling the need to show off every workout on social media.

It’s so common now for people to post everything they do, especially when it comes to fitness, so it’s refreshing to see someone at his level just quietly putting in the work and letting his performance speak for itself.

That said, when I was trying to grow my own social media presence, I found using tools like the best smm panel really helpful. It allowed me to focus more on creating good content without worrying about constantly posting or keeping up with algorithms.
