The Brooklyn Nets are expected to apply for a $5.7 million Disabled Player Exception following the season-ending injury to Spencer Dinwiddie.
Dinwiddie underwent surgery for a partially torn ACL on Monday.
The Nets could used the exception to acquire a player on an expiring contract. Brooklyn, however, would have to clear a roster spot.
