Timberwolves Expected To Re-Engage P.J. Tucker Trade Talks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jan 15, 2021 6:05 am

The Minnesota Timberwolves have maintained contact with the Houston Rockets over a possible trade for P.J. Tucker and are expected to re-engage discussions, sources told Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

The Athletic adds that the Wolves have been monitoring Tucker's situation since the draft.

The Rockets have received interest from multiple teams for Tucker, and are looking for three second-round picks in a deal.

What a clueless franchise. I've wanted the T'Wolves to be successful, but where is the logic in the moves they make? I honestly believe the only thing that can turn this team around is for them to be sold and gutted (front office, coaches, etc.).

This feels like a trade in the NFL, where some former towel boy in New England becomes GM of a bottom feeder, and starts trading future assets for the Patriots grizzled (read: washed up, overpaid) vets.

Rosas is no longer an employee of the Rockets, and he shouldn't be doing them favors at his own team's expense.

I'm a PJ Tucker fan. I'd like to see him go to Dallas. the maverick need a tough guy that can defend and hit open shots when Luka penetrates. He will also protect Luka when teams try to be overly physical with him. He would also be a good piece for the Nets, but I doubt they can afford him.

That's awesome someone is interested in Tucker.

Make that trade for someone much younger.
