Kevin Durant On Kyrie Irving Return In Double-Overtime Loss: It 'Felt Like We Belong Together'

Kyrie Irving scored 37 points in his return to the Brooklyn Nets, a 147-135 double-overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"We will have good nights, we will have great nights ... obviously one game is out the way, but I am excited for what's to come," said Irving in his first game with James Harden and Kevin Durant.

Durant finished with 38 points and 12 rebounds, while James Harden had a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.

"It felt right, felt perfect, felt like we belong together," said Durant of playing alongside Irving and Harden.

Steve Nash said that his team needed to clean up their turnovers, and play better on the defensive end.

13 of the Cavs' 22 shots in the third quarter went uncontested, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

"We started the game turning the ball over, we had seven or eight in the first quarter. We cleaned it up and got ourselves back in the game, but obviously we have to defend better," said Nash.

Irving took 28 shots compared to 14 by Harden. If this trend holds, I say Harden ship Kyrie out by March.

Pretty much. Could be that they'd be better with Reddick than Kyrie in a way.

DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! They literally played 0 defense, tried to outscore the Cavs, and it didn't work. There are better teams out there than the Cavs and will win.
