NBA, NBPA Continue To Discuss Atlanta All-Star Weekend

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Feb 1, 2021 6:33 pm

The NBA and NBPA continue to discuss the possibility of an All-Star Game weekend in Atlanta on the weekend of March 6-7.

Momentum has been building over the past week.

The league has also discussed the addition of both a Slam Dunk contest and Three-Point shootout as part of the weekend.

The 2021 NBA All-Star Game was originally scheduled to be held in Indianapolis.

What a stupid unnecessary even to hold in a pandemic, when so many regular games are being affected or postponed

Yeah a big part of All Star weekend is to have fans in the arenas cheering them during the dunk contests, 3pt contests and the game itself.

This whole weekend is for the fans (league always says that) so to have one when no fans can be allowed at the game doesn’t make sense.

They should just do what the NFL did and have the recognition for the players and all that but don’t actually host the event.
