Knicks Engaged In 'Active Talks' To Acquire Derrick Rose

The New York Knicks are actively engaged in trade talks to acquire Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons, sources told Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

The Pistons and Rose have agreed that a trade would be best for both parties, according to The Athletic.

The Pistons have also reportedly received interest from several teams in regards to Rose.

Rose has not played since January 30th due to "rest" and "personal reasons."

I think that the Rose to NYK could help the Pistons. They mismanaged their cap and need to clear some space for next offseason. I could see Rose to NYK for a pile of seconds and a TPE.

Hopefully d rose comes straight up for dsj and taj Gibson. Anything short of us giving away garbage is a mistake. Unless they beam d rose back to 2010.

My question is.... how would DRose returning to the Knicks help them? 3 guard rotation? Payton less minutes? Quickley?

Yea I would assume Payton loses his mins and might get traded to the clippers or something but I like the rose move thibs is the only coach that actually likes him and believes he’s still a star, he’s gonna be the number 1 scorer and he could play with quickly at the same time

I’m done. Year in and year out I believe things are going to change, but it continues to be the same dumpster fire over and over.

Thibs has learned nothing as a coach and he certainly won’t turn this ship around. If he could, I’d bet good money he’d have Noah on the roster.

I really think Thibs is trying to make up to Rose however he can. Why would he go after Rose at this point? He must still believe in him.
