The New York Knicks are close to acquiring Derrick Rose, sources told Shams Charania and James Edwards of The Athletic.

The Pistons would receive Dennis Smith Jr. and draft compensation.

Derrick Rose back to NY doesnt seem like the best idea. They trade him to a contender. Poor Rose.

That would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Plus they are both upcoming free agents. Draft compensation for what?

DSJ has so much potential. The Knicks never give him a fair chance. Signing Payton and Rivers served no purpose and halted his development.

He needs playing time and the chance to play thru his mistakes. Hope this doesn’t happen.

No contender is going to trade for Rose. Can't rely on him being healthy throughout a deep playoff run and he's already quit on his team multiple times.

Well he deserves another shot. He has been more healthy the last couple seasons and has shown something. I would not say quit because he was not healthy back when played for the Cavs.
