Celtics Interested In John Collins

The Boston Celtics have interest in trading for John Collins, though the asking price from the Atlanta Hawks may be prohibitive for them. The Hawks are seeking a first round pick and/or a talented young player.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have also been linked to Collins with ESPN's Jackie MacMullan indicating last week that they had serious interest.

Collins will be a restricted free agent.

For the Celtics, Harrison Barnes is likely a more realistic target.

I listened to this podcast and it was JM and Simmons basically throwing out some ideas for the Celtics, not actually confirming any trade rumors. But this is how rumors get started.

I think the summary of Shams' Athletic piece is actually saying the Jackie Mac claimed the TWolves have serious interest in Collins.

And I'm pretty sure I remember her saying exactly that on the pod
