Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz are considered the only untouchable players on the roster of the Orlando Magic, according to rival executives. Both Isaac and Fultz are out for the season but are signed long-term.

Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier have been made available, while Nikola Vucevic could also be acquired if the offer was strong enough.

The Magic are in search of point guard help with interest in Ricky Rubio.

They are untouchables 'cause If you touch them, you might as well break their bones here or there.

I hope they come back healthy.

Good job insulting Vuc, Orlando

May all the teams in the league follow this fine example

People are reading too much into this. All they are saying is Orlando is 100% open for business for a rebuild. These two, however, just signed new contracts and suffered season ending injuries. Orlando isn’t selling low on them right now.

Oh it definitely is a steal if he stays healthy of course. The dude signed his contract after the injury so i'm not sure where you're going with this.

I mean whose going to trade for a lower tier starting PG with shoulder issues + recovering ACL tear. Add on his contract and the fact that he won’t be ready to start the year.

He’s untouchable because he damaged goods right now. It’s like saying Al Aminu is untouchable.

Yeah that's not what untouchable means.
What you are describing is a player with no trade market and negative trade value. That's not the same thing.

There are like maybe 8 untouchable guys in the league, and -- spoiler alert! -- exactly none of them play for the Magic.
This is equal parts hilarious and pathetic.

As an outsider looking in, it’s easy to poke fun at Orlando, as seen in this thread. I’d like to offer a different perspective...

Fultz, despite his injury history and slow development was looking like he finally turned the corner before going down. Yes, he’s injury prone. Yes, he hasn’t lived up to being a #1 pick. Yes, his shot is still very much a work in progress. BUT, the guy is just 22 years old and is locked in for the next three years at ONLY $16m per year (Andrew Wiggins contract is almost twice that per year).

As for Isaac, regardless of injuries, is still someone who has GM’s drooling. Another young (25) “potential” who is locked into a reasonable contract ($17m per) would be a welcome addition to any roster. He has the ability to be an impact two-way player while playing a fluid forward position(s).

We’re talking Orlando here, not LA or another prime FA destination. Holding onto Fultz, Isaac, and Vucevic as a core three moving forward is not only promising, but necessary.
