The Golden State Warriors have announced Rick Welts will retire as President and Chief Operating Officer at the end of the 20-21 season.
Welts joined the Warriors in 2011 and has been working in the NBA for nearly five decades. Wels will remain with the Warriors as an Advisor.
Welts was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
The Warriors are expected to hire a new President within the next week.
