Ball could return to the Charlotte Hornets' lineup in seven to ten days.

They would be better off just sitting him out and tanking for a lottery pick. Then package that pick with Rozier and get a nice piece that compliments Ball and Hayward.

They are 4.5 ahead of the final play-in so it'll be tough for them to lose enough and fall out of it. They'd still be picking in the teens if they make the playoffs and if Hayward comes back too, they could make some noise (tough out) in the first round if they get there. Great experience for guys like Ball, Bridges, and Washington too.

Historically the Hornets haven’t tanked. They just haven’t been good.
