Huge asterisk for queen James. Jamal murray injured, Embiid Injured, chris Paul injured, Westbrook injured. Devin Booker is a glorified Jamal Crawford ball hog garbage with no defense. Jordan went up against helathy players with actual ball movement, no space defense.

Sixers should have traded Embiid in the offseason when he had maximum value.

His constant injuries, inability stay healthy has really set the franchise back.

Embiid's health + Simmons inability to develop any semblance of an offensive shot outside of the paint will lead the Sixers no where.

Trade both ( add fillers where appropriate ) :

Embiid for Karl Anthony Towns
Simmons for either De'Aaron Fox or Shai Alexander

Embiid might end up being this era's Yao Ming, unfortunately. He just can't stay healthy no matter what. :(

id rather have embiid not show up due to injury, than have KAT dress and still not show up when they need him.

How tf is this day to day, this dude is 280 lbs that put a lot of stress on his knees. Shut him down before it gets worse and he gets a permanent injury.

I mean, a) that's weak hindsight and b) he didn't have more value last offseason. He's had a much, much better season this year than last and he also missed exactly as many games last year as this year. He has always been a known injury risk, having a small knee injury now doesn't effect that much one way or the other. He also might be okay by the end of this week, too, and go on to make far more of a difference than KAT would. No one's going to know until it's happened.

Never understand why sports fans have to make some simple lesson out of everything--there's always risk and reward in most meaningful sports moves, you don't have to rush over to join the side that wins every time one of those risks succeeds or fails. Let there be some luck in the world.

You have a valid point -- but his knee / health issues have been re-occurring since he got drafted. And given his size / lack of consistent conditioning the writing is on the wall long term. The Sixers have a golden opportunity to cash in on Embiid's prime while he is healthy. He averages 52 games a season - never healthy or able to hold up for a full season. Not sure what the 76'rs are thinking that he will somehow now magically be able to play at least 65 to 70 games.

Embiid for Karl Anthony Towns in a heartbeat ... or Embiid for multiple draft picks / expiring contract / young prospects
