Anthony Davis Doesn't Regret Trying To Play Game 6

Anthony Davis tried to play in Game 6 but was clearly not moving well from the start and had to be removed from the game before the halfway point of the first quarter. Davis missed Game 5 with a groin injury he suffered in Game 4.

“I couldn’t move to my right,” Davis told Yahoo Sports after the Phoenix Suns eliminated them in six games. “That’s why I reacted that way [in the first quarter] when [Devin] Booker drove left and I had to slide to my right. That s*** hurt. There was nothing I could do, but I just wanted to be out there for my team so bad."

Some teammates of Davis on the Lakers were against hte idea of him playing at all.

“Me going out there didn’t have anything to do with me trying to be tough; I felt I owed it to my team to try to be out there with them,” Davis told Yahoo Sports. “I knew the only way I was going to be healthy enough to play was to get some rest, but time wasn’t on my side. So, I tried to give it a go. I don’t regret anything. I’ll be fine. Our team will be fine. I like our chances when healthy.”

The part where he said he likes there chances when healthy. Did he forget Brooklyn specifically created that team to beat the Lakers. Even though there in the same boat as the Lakers with no chemistry together and injuries. But next season they'll still be there with most likely a deeper super team. I wouldn't get cocky if I'm Davis. Spencer Dinwiddie is expected back if not packaged in some trade to get another upgrade to there roster. I doubt Blake will return and dj hasn't been playing much. They'll find a way to improve from there center depth.

I like the way the author throws in the anonymous "Some teammates of Davis on the Lakers were against hte idea of him playing at all." to express his own gutless modern writer/whiner opinion despite A.D. being very clear where he was coming from.
